I dyed my hair brown in September %26amp; since then everytime I dyed my hair I bought a little darker shade. I noticed the other day my blonde roots are coming back in %26amp; I'm ready to be blonde again but I don't want to go into a salon %26amp; spend 1/2 my teenage paycheck to do it and my parents wont pay for it!!
Is there anyway I can avoid the salon %26amp; possibly avoid bleach to do this???? I'm not completely against bleach but prom is coming up soon %26amp; I reeeealllllly don't wanna screw up my hair for that haha
How can I lighten my dyed reddish brown hair back to my natural blonde?
get it done professionally it has to be bleached out and stripped or you will most likely turn it an ash color witch will be green or grey my sis used to do it all the time haha

this is one of those ....don't try this at home jobs for real, don't ever try to be a blonde by yourself.esecially if you have red in your hair, take it from me iv'e messed my hair a few times.

You can't usually lift your color from brunette to blonde without using bleach. The good news is that it'll probably only take one bleach job for you to obtain blonde.
And please, please, please... use toner after you're done bleaching. Absence of toner is the reason why there are so many girls are walking around with ridiculous brassy yellow hair. Toner will bring it down to a natural, pretty blonde.
I would suggest at least having a friend or someone else you know (and trust) who has SOME hair experience for this project. Doing it yourself, or having someone else with little knowledge do it, could be disastrous. If done by someone who knows what they are doing, it'll be fine.
HOWEVER, If you want a guarantee that it will be perfect (especially since you have prom soon), I'd suggest a salon.
